Patient Participation Group

Would you like to help shape and improve the services at your GP Practice?

Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) gives patients the opportunity to work alongside the Practice team to share ideas, provide feedback, and help us continue delivering the best possible care for our community.

The group has been running successfully for over 10 years and is led by Dr Suman Maddula and Ms Brogan Purves, Practice Manager. We meet every two months in a friendly and informal setting where everyone’s views and experiences are valued.

Whether you would like to attend meetings in person or simply share your thoughts from home as a virtual member, we would love to hear from you.

Why Join the Patient Participation Group?

By becoming a member of our PPG, you can help us better understand what matters most to our patients and support positive improvements within the Practice.

We are particularly keen to welcome patients from all backgrounds and age groups, including parents with young children, carers, working patients, and younger adults, so that the group reflects the needs of our whole community.

Your ideas, experiences, and suggestions can genuinely make a difference.

We also want to hear what we are doing well, so we can continue to build on the services our patients value most.

Ways You Can Take Part

Attend Our Meetings

Join our bi-monthly meetings to discuss patient experiences, ideas for improvement, and future developments at the Practice. Meetings are relaxed, welcoming, and open to everyone.

Become a Virtual Member

If attending meetings is difficult, you can still be involved as a virtual member. This means you can share your views through occasional emails or short online surveys at a time that suits you.

What Does Being a Member Involve?

Sharing Ideas and Feedback

We welcome your thoughts on how we can improve our services and patient experience. From time to time, we may ask members to complete short surveys or provide feedback on new ideas and developments.

Helping Shape Services

Your feedback helps us understand what is important to our patients and supports the development of local healthcare services that better meet the needs of our community.

Educational Events

We may occasionally offer health talks or educational events on topics that are important and useful to our patients. PPG members will be invited to attend these events.

Keeping You Updated

We will share updates on the work of the Patient Participation Group and the improvements made as a result of patient feedback through our website and Practice communications.

We believe that the best healthcare services are shaped together with patients. If you would like to have your voice heard and help make a positive difference within the Practice, we would be delighted to welcome you to our Patient Participation Group.
