WE ARE CHANGING THE WAY YOU CAN BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
WE ARE CHANGING THE WAY YOU CAN BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
From Wednesday 6th November 2024 we will no longer be offering the Tuesday and Thursday sit and wait clinic or the morning telephone clinics on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as the practice is moving to a TOTAL TRIAGE system.
What does this mean?
Total Triage means every appointment with a GP will be assessed before it is arranged.
How is my appointment need assessed?
The patient will fill in a Triage Health Form via our new online system Blinx Healthcare. The form will then be triaged by a GP and an appointment will be arranged with the most appropriate clinician in the most appropriate time frame.
What does a patient need?
You will need access to the internet, your NHS number and to ensure that your contact details at the practice are up to date, including your email address.
How do I find my NHS number?
Your NHS Number can be located on any letter correspondence from the hospital, via the NHS app, on the right-hand side of your prescription or by obtaining it from the Practice.
What happens if I can’t access the internet or have trouble using technology?
You can still call the Practice.
When you call the practice, the care navigator will fill in a form on your behalf, please be aware a care navigator cannot arrange or escalate a GP appointment, they can only fill in the triage health form on your behalf.
How long before I receive a response to my Health Form?
The practice aims to respond within 48 hours of the form being received.
What if I think my appointment is urgent?
General Practice is not an urgent service if you feel your appointment is too urgent to be triaged by a GP then you need to attend A&E.
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE A CHILD UNDER 2 YEARS OF AGE YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO FILL IN THE TRAIGE HEALTH FORM AND WILL BE ASKED TO CONTACT THE PRACTICE DIRECTLY
