Changes to the NHS App – What You Need to Know
Dear Patient,
We would like to let you know about some upcoming changes to the NHS App.
What is happening?
The NHS App is being updated with a new look and improved features. These changes are being introduced gradually from late March 2026, and you may see them automatically if your app updates, or you may be prompted to update manually.
Why are these changes being made?
The updates are based on feedback from patients and have been designed to make the app:
- Easier to use
- More accessible
- Quicker for everyday tasks
The new design aims to help you find what you need more easily, with clearer layout and navigation.
What will be different?
Some of the main improvements include:
- A new home screen where your health information and services are grouped more clearly
- Simpler navigation, with three main sections: Home, Messages, and Profile
- Easier access to important information such as:
- Appointments
- Prescriptions
- Test results
- Vaccinations
- A new profile area where you can manage your personal details and preferences
- Improved access to support through in-app help features
